CÔTE NAIL SHOP

INTERIOR DESIGN

Côte, a new beauty company specializing in non-toxic nail polish for mothers and daughters, engaged me to help develop their flagship location. Working closely with the founders from the beginning, we created a nail salon that embraced the laid back style of Southern California–with a hint of provincial France thrown in. In addition to the interior design layout, cabinetry design, and FF&E sourcing, custom treatment chairs were designed and developed. Each chair has two pedicure bowl heights in the guise of wooden drawers that pull out from under the upholstered seating–one for mothers and one for daughters. Furniture pieces, including the design of the point of sale system, reception desk, and indoor bench swing were also designed exclusively for Côte.

Reconfiguring the space, we moved walls to create a bright and breezy egress that leads to a private outdoor treatment area. Nautically inspired shiplap walls and custom design cabinetry were added throughout the new shop.
